Luke Combs Addresses Questions About $24 Million Raised For Hurricane Relief
Hurricane Helene Devatastion Continues On As Families Are Forced To Live In Tents
Recently, the aftermath of Hurricane Helene has not received a lot of media coverage. Attention has drifted to the presidential election, the holidays, and daily life.
How Are The Hurricane Helene Survivors?
FEMA recently shared that they hired more people to help North Carolina residents. They also just announced that they are extending their applications for aid.
Stating in a press release:
Homeowners and renters with losses from Hurricanes Milton and Helene may be eligible for FEMA financial assistance for displacement, basic home repairs, personal property losses and other uninsured or underinsured disaster-caused expenses.
However, according to some reports from people on the ground, that hasn’t been the case. As temperatures decrease, there is increasing concerned about the living conditions of displaced individuals.
Many in the affected communities are now having to live in tents according to the X post below.

It is mind-blowingly insane to watch FEMA officials claim no one in #WNC is in tents while reporters are flying in from all over the country to INTERVIEW the people living in tents.

Conflicting narratives in the news have left people confused about where their money is going and how these communities are actually receiving help.
Some fans have even asked their favorite country musicians where the money they raised is going.
Helene storm victims of North Carolina want to know where the 24 million dollars that was raised in this benefit concert is at. They are wondering why people are sleeping in tents almost a month after this concert. Do you care to comment @lukecombs or @ericchurch? pic.twitter.com/6SE08DF7Tw

Luke Combs and Eric Church collaborated on a concert that included Sheryl Crow, Keith Urban, Scotty McCreery, and many more great artists. They named the massive charity concert the “Concert for Carolina.”
The Concert ended up pulling in $24 million for Hurricane Helene relief.
When fans questioned where the money went, Luke Combs put their concerns to rest. The singer responded with complete transparency, sharing exactly how the donated funds were used.
Luke Combs said: “The portion of proceeds that I raised were split evenly between Manna Food Bank in Buncombe County, Second Harvest Food Bank of Watagua County, Samaritans Purse, and Eblen Charities. All hyper local 501c3 Charities originating and operating in WNC.”
