Jelly Roll’s Wife Bunnie Xo Slams Fan Who Posted Viral Video of Singer Picking His Nose: ‘Let the Man Eat His Damn Booger’
Jelly Roll’s wife Bunnie Xo is standing by her man — and paying no mind to Boogergate!
The Dumb Blonde podcast host opened up about a recent viral video that showed Jelly seemingly picking his nose and eating it, and said things might not actually be as they appear.
The “Liar” singer, 39, went viral after he was caught digging on camera at the UFC 309 event at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, Nov. 16. In the video, Jelly is seated behind President Donald Trump, Kid Rock and Elon Musk.
Bunnie described her husband as being “knuckle deep in his freaking nose” in the clip, but explained that he has a “little tic” that sometimes leads to similar behavior.
“Everybody says he ate it, but I saw him roll it in his hand first and kind of flick it, and then just touch his mouth,” she said on the Monday, Nov. 25 episode of her podcast. “But for everybody who wants to say he did… First of all, my husband has a little tic, OK? He’s always had a little tic, and when he’s nervous, he picks his f—ing nose.”
Bunnie, 44, said she’s often around to put a stop to the habit, but that even when she’s not, it’s no big deal, as he “normally doesn’t eat them.”
“The fact that the world is like, ‘Oh my God, I can’t believe Jelly Roll f—ing is eating a booger…’ And for those who said they can believe, you know who we f—ing are,” she said. “We’re dirtbags. We pride ourselves on being dirtbags… Let the man eat his damn f—ing booger.”
The podcaster went on to praise Jelly, whom she married in 2016, saying that fans should be more focused on the good he does, rather than harp on an unflattering viral moment.
“The man does so much good in this world, and the lady that posted this… Come on, man. This man is a f—ing angel on earth who does nothing but good for people and everybody’s like, ‘Oop, there’s the booger-eater,’” she said. “It’s just like, how can f—ing childish can we be, dude?”
She also said she’s unbothered by Jelly’s social faux pas.
“I don’t care,” she said. “I love my little Boogie Roll.”
Bunnie has long been among her husband’s biggest pillars of support, and in PEOPLE’s latest cover story, the Grammy nominee revealed he and his wife never spend more than two weeks apart, despite their busy schedules.
“Fourteen days has been our rule kind of from the beginning,” he said. “We actually just implemented that same rule with our 16-year-old [daughter Bailee]. Because we realized that we were going a month or two at a time without seeing her, and I was like, this just needs to be family.”
Jelly also praised Bunnie as “the person you show up to when the chips are down,” and said his main focus is quality time with his family (He’s dad to daughter Bailee, 16, and son Noah, 8, from previous relationships).
“I prioritize family and that’s what anchors me down,” Jelly said. “My world shrunk when I focused on one woman.”
