Watch: Luke Bryan Says Beyoncé Is One Of The Greatest Singers ‘Of All Time’
Luke Bryan hailed Beyoncé “one of the best singer(s) and performer(s) of all time.”
The Georgia-born country star recently appeared on Club Random with Bill Maher, a podcast that features in-depth conversations “with a wide variety of unexpected guests in the undisclosed location called Club Random,” per its description. During the podcast episode, Bryan shared his thoughts about COWBOY CARTER trailblazer Beyoncé while he caught up with Bill Maher. The clip of that part of the conversation was shared on the podcast’s Instagram account. Bryan said:
“Beyoncé’s, she’s probably the greatest singer in our lifetime… She’s one of the best singer(s) and performer(s) of all time, in my opinion. Gosh, she’s so successful. I remember seeing Destiny’s Child, and just wondering, and seeing Beyoncé, and I was like, ‘that’s one of the most beautiful human beings I’ve ever seen in my life.’ And then she sings like that, and goes on to have this career.”
The American Idol judge’s comments about Beyoncé arrive shortly after Beyoncé’s victories at the 67th Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 2) at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California. This year’s event also raised funds and awareness for wildfire relief. Beyoncé won her first-ever Grammy in a country category when she won Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “II Most Wanted,” a duet with Miley Cyrus. Beyoncé went on to win Album of the Year for the first time in her career.

During the episode of Club Random with Bill Maher, the duo also brought up Taylor Swift. Bryan praised the “Cruel Summer” powerhouse for connecting so closely with her fans, even in the early days of her career. Bryan also remembered the first time he heard Swift’s debut single, “Tim McGraw,” and the first time he saw her perform. Bryan said even then, he knew Swift had the power to become a major star.
“That may be the biggest star I’ve ever seen,” Bryan said as he talked with Maher. “She just had it. …She worked her butt off.”
