Morgan Wallen Takes the Stage for His First Performance Since CMA Awards Victory
Morgan Wallen Joins Jelly Roll and ERNEST on Stage in Nashville
Jelly Roll recently concluded his Beautifully Broken tour, marking his biggest headlining tour to date. The tour featured performances by ERNEST and Alexandra Kay as opening acts. Alexandra Kay, a rising country star, gained attention with her popular single, “Everleave.”
ERNEST, known for his songwriting prowess, has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Morgan Wallen, Post Malone, and Sam Hunt.
In addition to his songwriting talents, ERNEST is also an accomplished artist. He celebrated his first No. 1 hit as a performer in 2024 with “Cowgirls,” a collaboration with Morgan Wallen. The track topped Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, marking a major milestone in ERNEST’s career.
ERNEST Surprised Audience With Morgan Wallen
ERNEST surprised Jelly Roll’s audience on the November 26th Nashville stop of the tour by bringing out Morgan Wallen. The duo sang “Flower Shops,” which is ERNEST’s track featuring Wallen. Watch his surprise entrance below.
When Wallen walked out on stage, he was nonchalant, as if he had always meant to be there. The stadium erupted with excitement at the surprise appearance of the hitmaker. You could barely hear ERNEST over the roar of the crowd, making the joke of the night as Wallen made his way to center stage.
ERNEST introduced Wallen as “Morgan Waylon,” referencing the moment when Jeff Bridges mispronounced the singer’s name while announcing his 2024 CMA Entertainer of the Year award win. Wallen was not there in person to receive his award.
This surprise performance was Wallen’s first showing since he was not in attendance to receive his CMA award. This marked the “Whiskey Glasses” singer’s second CMA award overall and his first Entertainer of the Year award win.
After his epic entrance, the duo sang their No.1 hit, “Cowgirls,” for the screaming fans. Watch below.
