Hudson Westbrook’s “House Again” ranks low for work productivity songs.

Hudson Westbrook’s track “House Again” has surprisingly emerged as one of the top songs detrimental to workplace productivity, according to a recent study.

This research, conducted by Booking Agent Info, examined 100 of last year’s most-streamed songs on Billboard, focusing on factors such as tempo, loudness, and danceability. The analysis aimed to identify tunes that could hinder concentration, ranking “House Again” among the five least favorable choices for maintaining focus in a work environment.

Top 5 Rankings Highlight Disruptive Tracks

In terms of overall rankings, Morgan Wallen’s “Smile” achieved the highest score of 83.78, earning the top position on the list, while another track, “Just in Case,” secured the second spot, showcasing Wallen’s dominance with two of the most distracting songs. He had ten tracks included in the ranking, solidifying his status as a major figure in the study.

Understanding the Distracting Nature of Music

The criteria for the rankings hinge on quantifiable elements rather than subjective distractions that vary by individual. Characteristics such as tempo, loudness, and danceability significantly influence how much attention a song demands from its listeners. This explains why “House Again,” despite its popularity, may be more suitable for after-hours listening rather than during the workday.

As fans continue to enjoy Westbrook’s music, this study serves as a reminder that some tunes might be better left for personal enjoyment outside of the office.
