George Strait Sets Record-Breaking Concert Attendance In The U.S.

And This Is Why He’s Called The “King Of Country!”

George Strait just made history by attracting a record-breaking crowd of 110,905 ticket-buying fans at the A&M Kyle Field in College Station, Texas.

According to Billboard, Strait set a new all-time attendance record for a ticketed concert in the United States. This achievement surpassed the previous record held by The Grateful Dead in 1977 at Raceway Park in New Jersey.

Additionally, the Texas native’s show at Kyle Field also established a new record for the venue as the most attended single event, surpassing the previous record set during a Texas A&M game against Ole Miss on Oct. 11, 2014, with 110,633 fans.

His new album, titled Cowboys and Dreamers, will be Strait’s 31st studio album and will be released on September 6!

During the same night, George Strait and Chris Stapleton surprised fans with an exciting duet of their new song together, “Honky Tonk Hall of Fame.”

Shortly after his announcement, Strait also released the first song from his upcoming album, “MIA Down In MIA.”
