Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert, and Lainey Wilson Celebrate Women Who Paved the Way with ‘Trailblazer’ Performance Video
Reba McEntire thrilled fans with a new live performance video of “Trailblazer.” The song features Miranda Lambert and Lainey Wilson.
The footage comes from McEntire’s sold-out Music City Rodeo show earlier this summer. Fans erupted with cheers when the surprise unfolded.
Reba McEntire Welcomes Lambert & Wilson On Stage
From the stage, Reba said:
“A couple of weeks ago at the ACM Awards, we got to premiere a brand new song…with Miranda Lambert and Lainey Wilson.”
She then teased, “Wouldn’t it be great if they were here tonight?” Moments later, Lambert and Wilson walked out, shocking the crowd.
Together, the three women delivered a powerful live version of “Trailblazer.” At the end, they held hands in a moving tribute to country music’s past, present, and future.
The Story Behind “Trailblazer”
“Trailblazer” was written by Miranda Lambert, Lainey Wilson, and Brandy Clark. Reba McEntire and Tony Brown produced the track.
The song celebrates the pioneering women who shaped country music. It honors those who broke barriers and helped the next generation rise.
Lainey Wilson explained the inspiration in a backstage interview:
“Reba had the idea to do a song together. Me, Miranda, and Brandy started talking about country music history. The females stuck together, blazed trails, and lifted others up.”
Wilson also credited McEntire and Lambert for supporting her career.
“I owe it to them. They share wisdom and lift me up. This song is for anyone paving a path for others.”
“Trailblazer” Becomes A Streaming Hit
The trio debuted the song at the ACM Awards. Right after the performance, they released it on streaming platforms.
In its first week, “Trailblazer” earned 2.6 million on-demand streams. This set a new career-best record for McEntire.
With three generations of stars — Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert, and Lainey Wilson — the live performance of “Trailblazer” is already one of country music’s most iconic collaborations.
