Miranda Lambert Bought Carrie Underwood Motorcycle From “Somethin’ Bad” Music Video
We’ve all seen the unforgettable music video for Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood’s “Somethin’ Bad” duet…right?
Well, if you haven’t, you’ll definitely want to stick around and watch it because it is, in one word, ICONIC!
Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood released “Somethin’ Bad” in 2014. The song was released as the second single from Lambert’s fifth studio album, Platinum.
“Somethin’ Bad” is a fun and sassy, Thelma & Louise-inspired track that is a female take on the “bro-country” genre.
“Bout to tear it up down in New Orleans /
Just like a real-life Thelma and Louise /
If the cops catch up, they’re gonna call it kidnapping /
Got a real good feelin’ somethin’ bad about to happen.”
Miranda and Carrie first debuted the legendary song at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards, and it was officially released the next day. Fans loved it immediately, and the song skyrocketed to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, marking Carrie’s thirteenth and Miranda’s fifth chart-topping hit.
The music video for “Somethin’ Bad” was released in June 2014, one month after the song first came out. During the music video, Miranda and Carrie play a pair of thieves who rob a bank, play some poker, and ride sleek motorcycles. All we can say is the women look pretty tough.

It turns out that Miranda herself bought Carrie the motorcycle featured in the video as a present!
Carrie Underwood posted to her social media pages a picture of herself on the brand-new two-wheeler when she first got it.
“Well, it’s not every day [Miranda Lambert] buys you a motorcycle!” she shared, before joking, “Next stop, motorcycle driving lessons!!!”

Miranda Lambert revealed that she bought Carrie the bike as a thank-you present.
“She was wanting a motorcycle, and I wanted to get her something for all the work she’s put in — singing on the record, doing the performances. I was like, ‘Okay, you’ve got to learn how to drive this thing. Don’t blame it on me!’ She’s been practicing, so I can’t wait.”
And guess what? Carrie still has the motorcycle to this day!
In a new video posted by CMT, Carrie revealed that she still has the same bike from ten years ago.
After being asked if she rides it, Carrie said, “I have. It’s a very large motorcycle, so my husband will take it out. He’ll be like, ‘I got my motorcycle.’ And [I’m like], ‘You mean my motorcycle?’”
It’s pretty special that Carrie still has the motorcycle that Miranda bought her. What a power duo friendship!
