The 2025 ACM Awards are gearing up for an unforgettable celebration, expanding to a full two and a half hours to honor six decades of country music. From the trailblazers who built country music’s legacy to the new generation shaping its future, the Emmy-nominated broadcast promises to celebrate the genre’s rich past, vibrant present, and exciting future.

Established in 1966, the Academy of Country Music Awards is the longest-running Country Music awards show and made history in 2022 as the first major awards ceremony to exclusively livestream, in collaboration with Prime Video.

Host

Reba McEntire, a country music legend and 16-time ACM Award winner, is set to host the show for a record-breaking 18th time—more than any artist in the history of the ACM Awards.

It’s going to be an absolute can’t-miss show, and I can’t wait to be there with you,” McEntire shared in a video shared on the official social media accounts of the Academy of Country Music.

The 60th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards is set to deliver a star-packed evening of unforgettable performances.

The 2025 ACM Awards will open with a show-stopping 12-minute “Songs of the Decades” medley, featuring past ACM Songs of the Year from six decades. The tribute will be brought to life by an all-star lineup, including Clint BlackDan + ShayWynonna JuddLeAnn RimesSugarland as well as the show’s host Reba McEntire.

Country music icons Wynonna Judd and Reba McEntire will be joined by legends Alan Jackson and Brooks & Dunn, along with today’s chart-topping acts like Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson, Cody Johnson, Eric Church, Clint Black, LeAnn Rimes, and Megan Moroney.

Fresh off their wins as ACM New Female Artist of the Year and New Male Artist of the Year, Ella Langley and Zach Top will take the stage to mark their breakout year.
A major highlight of the night will be Rascal Flatts’ return to the ACM stage for the first time since 2015. The celebrated trio will team up with the Backstreet Boys for a genre-blending duet that promises to be a standout moment of the show. Other must-see collaborations include a fiery pairing of Jelly Roll and Shaboozey, as well as Brooks & Dunn joining forces with Cody Johnson for what’s sure to be a high-energy performance.

Nominees

The Academy of Country Music revealed the full list of nominees for the 2025 ACM Awards on Thursday, March 27.

Ella Langley, a first-time nominee, leads the pack with eight nominations, including Female Artist of the Year, New Female Artist of the Year as well as Single of the Year, Song of the Year as both artist and songwriter, Music Event of the Year, and Visual Media of the Year as both artist and director for “You Look Like You Love Me” with Riley Green.

Cody Johnson ties for the most nominations for a male artist with seven, including his second nomination for Entertainer of the Year and his third consecutive nomination for Song of the Year. His song “Dirt Cheap” is nominated for both Song of the Year and Single of the Year, and he’s also up for Visual Media of the Year. Johnson faces off against himself in Visual Media of the Year, as his collaboration with Carrie Underwood, “I’m Gonna Love You,” is also nominated. With seven nominations this year, Johnson sets a personal record and becomes the most-nominated Texas-born artist.
Morgan Wallen also ties for the most nominations among male artists, earning seven nominations, including his third straight nod for Entertainer of the Year. Wallen scored four nominations for his collaboration with Post Malone on “I Had Some Help,” including three artist nominations and one songwriter nomination.

Lainey Wilson leads in nominations across multiple categories, earning seven nods, including her first-ever Artist-Songwriter of the Year nomination. Her Song of the Year nomination marks her fourth consecutive year in the category, bringing her total to seven nominations in the category (combining both artist and songwriter credits).
