The 2024 CMA Song of the Year Winner Is…
The 58th Annual CMA Awards took place at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, November 20.
The night was hosted by Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning, who have teamed up to host the awards show three times. However, they weren’t the only ones leading the evening. Country sensation Lainey Wilson joined them, marking her debut as a host for the CMA Awards.
The night was filled with exciting moments and wins from your favorite country stars, and even the people behind the scenes were celebrated for their hard work. A highlight was the Song of the Year category, which recognized the songwriters behind some of this year’s most popular hits.
What is the difference between Song of the Year and Single of the Year?
The CMA Awards feature two categories that focus specifically on winning songs: Song of the Year and Single of the Year. However, these two awards are quite different. Song of the Year is given to the songwriter(s) who created the winning song. In this case, the artist who recorded the song can only take home the trophy if they wrote or co-wrote it as well. On the other hand, Single of the Year is awarded to the artist(s) who recorded the winning song.
Now that we’ve clarified the differences between the award categories, let’s find out who won Song of the Year at the 2024 CMA Awards!
