Phil Robertson Appears In New Family Photos Amid Health Struggles
Duck Dynasty Patriarch Phil Robertson Was Diagnosed With A Blood Disorder And Alzheimer’s Disease
Phil Robertson recently appeared in a new set of family photos amid his struggles with his health.
Phil’s sons, Jase and Al, opened up about his health issues on the December 6 episode of his podcast, Unashamed. The Robertson brothers revealed their dad is “not doing well.“
First, they shared that doctors believe Phil has a blood disease that is “causing all kinds of problems” for him physically. Then, Jase and Al shared that Phil has also been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.
“...he has early stages of Alzheimer’s. So, if you put those things together, he’s just not doing well. He’s really struggling,” Jase said.
Phil does have some good days, but others aren’t as good. “There are some days he’ll be a little more with it, and other days not so much,” Al said.
In a recent interview, one of Phil’s other sons, Willie, revealed that he also suffered a fractured back and possible ministrokes.
Robertson Family Shares Love For Phil After His Diagnosis
The Robertson family received a ton of support after going public with Phil’s diagnosis. Many of his family members took to social media to thank people for their kind messages and to share their love for Phil.
His daughter, Phyllis, said:
“I may not know all of the answers to every question I have, but what I do know is that God is close to the broken hearted. My God has always been near and will continue to be as we process how life has been changing and will continue to change as time goes on. And if I know one thing about my dad, it is that he’s going to let every moment continue to bring glory to his Heavenly Father.”
His son, Willie, shared an emotional post, writing:
“Thank you for supporting the man that showed the world what a person can become when they completely yield to the Gospel. His life has been an open book and yes, sadly we are getting to the end of it in some regards. There could be many years left or just a few. That’s life, at least life of this earth.”

Phil Robertson Appears In New Family Photos Shared By Daughter-In-Law Missy
The Robertson family has shown up to support Phil and his wife, Miss Kay, during this difficult time. On Sunday (December 22), Phil’s daughter-in-law, Missy (who’s married to Jase), shared a series of new family photos that show the Duck Dynasty star in seemingly good spirits.
The Robertsons got together to celebrate Miss Kay’s birthday, as she turned 77 on Saturday (December 21).
