Morgan Wallen Kicks Off 2025 Tour With A Patriotic Moment

America’s Red, White, And Blue Was Prominently Featured During Morgan Wallen’s Opening Night

Morgan Wallen‘s I’m The Problem Tour kicked off over the weekend, supporting his 2025 album of the same name, I’m The Problem.

On the first night of the tour, which began on June 20 in Houston, Texas, fans were able to share in more than just their love of the chart-topping country artist’s music, but enjoyed a patriotic moment as well.

During his performance of “Don’t We” from his new album, Morgan and his production team coordinated an awe-inspiring moment for those in attendance at the at-capacity NRG Stadium show to experience together.

Perfectly timed with the following lyrics, a gigantic, stage-filling American flag unfurled behind Morgan:

“Not everybody takes off their hat, stands for the flag that them boys overseas got on their sleeve … But we do, don’t we?”

As the flag unfurled behind him, the crowd erupted in cheers.

Footage of a soldier saluting the flag also played on the screen surrounding the flag, followed by a clip of the famed F/A-18s of the Blue Angels soaring in formation through the air.

Fans Respond Online To Morgan Wallen’s Patriotic Moment

The live reaction that the flag received, coupled with Morgan’s “Don’t We” lyrics which give a shoutout to the brave Americans who are deployed to serve overseas, was huge … but the reaction didn’t end there.

Thanks to a couple fan videos of the moment, the flag has continued receiving praise in the context of Morgan’s show.

Several fans wrote on TikTok that this video gave them “chills,” with another noting “this part of the song” gives him chills every time.

Other fans wrote:

“USA USA USA.”

“Hell yeah we love a patriotic moment from Morgan.”

“We do, don’t we.”

On the second night of his tour, on June 21, also in Houston at the NRG Stadium, the audience was notably there with the knowledge of the United States having bombed three nuclear sites in Iran that evening. With that in mind, fans wrote:

“Hits extra hard knowing what America accomplished.”

“I would’ve cried after what just happened. I love our flag.”

“While we were all there immediately after we hit Iran.”

For the past few years, Morgan has become famous for his star-studded walkouts at the start of his shows, and one fan wrote:

Broooo if he got DJT to walk out with him that would break the internet.

“DJT,” of course, being the initials of President Donald J. Trump.
