Morgan Wallen brought the energy to Madison, Wisconsin last night with a powerful show at Camp Randall Stadium as part of his I’m The Problem tour. Sharing the stage were two of country’s finest — Ella Langley and Miranda Lambert — who kicked off the night as openers.

Miranda, who co-wrote Morgan’s chart-topping hit “Thought You Should Know” alongside Nicolle Galyon, saw the song become Morgan’s 8th #1 in February 2023. It holds special meaning for Miranda — it was her first #1 purely as a songwriter, without performing vocals on the track. The song also appears on Morgan’s massive One Thing At A Time album, featuring 36 tracks.

While the two have previously performed “Thought You Should Know” together, last night brought something unexpected. During his headlining set, Morgan welcomed Miranda back to the stage — but this time, to sing “Cowgirls,” a high-energy track originally featuring Ernest. Written by Ernest, Rocky Block, Ashley Gorley, James Maddocks, and Ryan Vojtesak, the song hit #1 on the US Country Airplay chart last year.

Though the song leans into pop and hip-hop influences, it lit up the stadium — and having the Texas cowgirl herself join in made the moment unforgettable. It wasn’t the duet fans expected… but no one was disappointed.
