Miranda Lambert shares her side of the Chad Kroeger bar incident.

Miranda Lambert has opened up about a notorious bar fight rumor involving Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger, revealing there is indeed some truth to the tale.

During a recent conversation on The New York Times’ Popcast aired on October 1, Lambert addressed the incident from 2010 that has puzzled fans for years. When co-host Joe Coscarelli pressed her about whether she had punched Kroeger, the 42-year-old country star hesitated but ultimately confirmed that she had not thrown a punch; instead, she admitted to tossing moonshine in his face.

New Revelations About the Incident

Lambert clarified that the incident was more chaotic than the punch narrative suggested. “I threw moonshine on his face,” she stated candidly, acknowledging that she “did do that.” When asked about the impact on Kroeger’s hair, she confessed, “I wrecked it.” The singer described that fateful night as one where “no one was in their best state,” emphasizing that her actions were far from innocent mischief.

While discussing whether any animosity remains between her and Kroeger, Lambert’s response was blunt: “I don’t know if we’re fine now — but I don’t care.” This statement underscores the lingering complexity of the encounter.

A Longstanding Rumor Resurfaced

The backstory of this incident dates back to a time when Lambert was married to fellow country artist Blake Shelton. In a 2014 Rolling Stone feature, Shelton alluded to his then-wife’s brush with a well-known rock star, hinting at the initials “C.K.,” which fans quickly connected to Kroeger.

After divorcing Shelton in 2015, Lambert later married former NYPD officer Brendan McLoughlin in 2019. Her candid conversation about the notorious bar encounter coincides with the upcoming release of her latest album, Crisco, a country-disco project set to debut on October 2.
