During the Season 25 finale of The Voice, Reba McEntire surprised Lainey Wilson with an unforgettable invitation: to become the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry.
The moment took Wilson by surprise, and she expressed her deep gratitude to McEntire, whom she has long admired.
“It’s so crazy that you’re asking me to be a member because I look up to you so much,” Wilson said. “I’m not just talking about your music, but the way you carry yourself, your work ethic. You inspire me every day.”
Wilson was officially inducted into the Grand Ole Opry on June 7, 2024. Since then, she’s continued to conquer the country music world and recently scored two wins at the 2024 CMA Awards.

After sharing her special moment with McEntire on Season 25, Wilson returned to The Voice. She joined Season 26 as Team Reba’s playoff advisor.
“Just country icons helping country icons,” the caption of the announcement read. “Lainey Wilson is a Playoff Advisor for Team Reba TN 8/7c on @nbc and streaming on @peacock.”

Fans couldn’t hold in their excitement about the news of Wilson being a playoff advisor.

The news comes after Simone Biles, MGK, and Carly Pearce were previously revealed as Snoop Dogg, Gwen Stefani, and Michael Bublé’s playoff advisors. Biles, MGK, Pearce, and Wilson helped this season’s Voice contestants prepare for their playoff performances.
