Lainey Wilson shared the exciting news of her engagement Wednesday evening with a social media post that included a series of photos and a caption that simply read, “4x4xU Forever.”

The reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year first met her fiance in 2021 when they were introduced by mutual friends. The couple dated for two-and-a-half years before going public with their relationship. Lainey introduced Hodges, a former NFL player, on the red carpet at the 2023 ACMs.
Duck has been a staple at most of Lainey’s events ever since his red carpet debut. And fans have been wondering when the two might tie the knot.
In an interview with Bunnie XO on the Dumb Blonde podcast in December, Wilson told the host that it was likely she would have to be the one to propose to Hodges.
Wilson sent a message to Duck saying, “no pressure, brother! No pressure. I might have to propose to him. We waitin’.” Bunnie added, “Duck’s gonna do it. I can feel it.”
Many of Lainey and Duck’s friends and colleagues reacted to their engagement announcement with notes of congratulations.
