Jelly Roll Drops $7,500 Tip After Treating Fans To A Day Of Free Chicken
Jelly Roll Leaves A Huge Tip After Buying Out Chicken Shop
Jelly Roll bought out a chicken shop for the community before playing for a sold-out crowd at Simmons Bank Arena last night (October 22nd).
On his X account, he announced his plan to buy chicken for everyone who showed up.
He shared that when he was touring in small venues, one of his first sold-out shows was at a different chicken shop called Sticky’s Chicken Shack. The venue held 200 people, and the singer shared that he was “so proud” that he sold it out.
His original plan was to buy out Sticky’s Chicken Shack, but they were closed, so he went down the street to Gus’s Fried Chicken, another one of his favorite chicken shops.
In his own words: “When I first started coming to Little Rock, Arkansas, I played a place called Sticky’s Chicken Shack. It had 200 people, I sold it out. I was so proud.”
He continued to say, “The next time I came, I played a place called the Rev Room, right there behind me [points to Rev Room], right next to it is a place called Gus’s [Fried] Chicken. We ate Gus’s [Fried] Chicken every time we played the Rev Room. I played that place ten times.”
Jelly Roll then excitedly said, “The food is on me, baby.”

The singer ended his video by encouraging all the musicians currently playing at bars and smaller venues to “keep playing, baby.”
Jelly Roll Leaves Massive Tip
This is not the first philanthropic or highly generous act that Jelly Roll has taken part in. The singer has demonstrated radical generosity throughout his career.
He even has a history of leaving massive tips. He left a $700 tip at a lemonade stand and left a Whataburger employee a $1,000 tip!
Not only did he buy his fans free chicken, but he also left a huge tip for the staff at Gus’s.
