Country star Jason Aldean is just like any other dad—he can’t believe how quickly his kids are growing up.
On Wednesday (August 20), the singer took to Instagram Stories to honor his daughter Kendyl’s 18th birthday with a heartfelt tribute.
Jason Aldean’s Birthday Tribute To Kendyl
Aldean shared a carousel of photos featuring Kendyl throughout the years. Some pictures showed her solo, while others captured special family moments, including holidays. One of the slides even displayed a bold “18” to mark the big milestone.
“Happy Bday Kendyl Bug!” Jason wrote. “I can’t believe you are 18 now. You’re a special one, kiddo, and we love you so much.”
Kendyl is Jason’s daughter with his ex-wife, Jessica Ussery. The former couple also share another daughter, Keeley, who is now 22.
Jason Aldean’s Family Life
Jason and Jessica were high school sweethearts who married in 2001. However, their marriage ended in 2013. Two years later, Aldean tied the knot with Brittany Kerr, now known as Brittany Aldean.
In addition to Keeley and Kendyl, Jason and Brittany share two younger children: Memphis (7) and Navy (6).
Jason On Being A Dad To Grown Kids
Earlier this summer, the “Try That in a Small Town” singer opened up about what it feels like to have adult children. In an interview with Taste of Country Nights, Aldean admitted it feels “a little bit weird” that his oldest daughter, Keeley, is now old enough to legally drink.
He reflected on how quickly time has passed, saying he still remembers when Keeley would pretend to perform on stage.
“Keeley is the oldest, she just turned 22,” Aldean explained. “She’s awesome, man, she killed it in college, about to graduate and get started with her life. It’s cool, they’re doing great.”
