Legendary Wrestling Star, Hulk Hogan, Passes Away At 71

Early in the morning hours of July 24th, paramedics were called to Hulk Hogan’s residence in Clearwater, Florida, for reports of cardiac arrest. The iconic athlete was transported to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead at 11:17 am local time, as confirmed by Clearwater Police Maj. Nate Burnside in a news conference that afternoon. He was 71 years old.

Hogan, born Terry Gene Bollea, rose to prominence in the 1980s and is now one of the most recognized wrestlers in the world. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005 and holds 12 world championship wrestling titles.

Hulk Hogan is survived by his wife, Sky, and two adult children, Brooke and Nick.

Hulk Hogan’s Wife, Sky Daily, Shares An Emotional Message

One day after the news of Hogan’s death dominated the news waves, his wife, Sky Daily, shared a heartbreaking message online.

In the post, Daily reveals that her star husband was in “growing physical discomfort” and had been “dealing with some health issues.” However, she believed he would “overcome them.” “I thought we still had more time,” she adds.

Additionally, Daily shares that the loss was sudden and says it is “impossible to process.”

“To the world, he was a legend… but to me, he was my Terry. The man I loved. My partner. My heart.”

The couple was baptized together in 2023. Daily acknowledges the layer of peace that their shared faith brings during this difficult time.

“He was a believer in Christ, and I take comfort knowing his soul is at peace and he’s been welcomed home.”
