George Strait Makes Young Fans’ Day By Stopping To Sign Their Guitars

George Strait Takes Time To Sign Guitars For Young Fans

No matter how busy he is, George Strait always makes time for his fans.

Recently,  George Strait made a stop in Buffalo, New York, for a performance.

While leaving the venue, a group of fans waited outside, hoping to catch a glimpse of the country icon. As Strait pulled away in a black SUV, he noticed the group and quickly came to a stop.

Just as you’d expect from the “King of Country,” he rolled down his window and took the time to sign autographs.

A fan who was there captured the special moment on video.

In the group were several young fans holding guitars, hoping for a signature from Strait. As they approached him, the country legend didn’t hesitate. He signed guitar after guitar and even spoke with the kids.

People flooded the comment section of the video with love for Strait. They praised him for his kindness and for taking the time to make those kids’ day unforgettable.

“Taking his time to show his appreciation to his loyal fans. King George! The GOAT,” a fan wrote.

“Such an amazing guy,” said another.

“He’s such a great, wonderful man to do this for his fans,” someone else said.

The 72-Year-Old Singer Says He Won’t Be Performing Much Longer

George Strait has been making music and touring for nearly 50 years, and through it all, he’s never stopped showing love and appreciation for his fans. He’s also remained honest with them every step of the way.

During a concert in Philadelphia last month, the “Amarillo by Morning” singer got candid with the audience. He said that he doesn’t see himself performing much longer.

Strait told fans that, realistically, he feels like he only has about five more years left of performing live on stage.

“I have maybe five good years to sing my songs for you folks,” Strait told the audience. “But hell, it’s been around 50 now. And I still love it just as much as I ever did. When I walk through those curtains and I see your smiling faces, my feet don’t touch the ground again until I walk back out and get on that bus.”

Strait also told the crowd that when the time does come for him to retire, they will never be far from his mind.

“I don’t know how many more years I can do this,” he continued. “I figure a few, and I do want you to know though, when I do walk off this stage and I’m settled in far away from all of this, you won’t be far away. I’ll still hear your screams and cheers in my mind, and I will always remember you.”
