Brittney Kelley, Brian’s wife, discussed the profound impact of this rekindling on the podcast Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley, explaining how the weekend in Idaho transformed years of emotional distance into understanding and growth.
Reconnecting after the Split
The duo, known for their extensive chart-topping success, parted ways in 2022, leading to intense speculation regarding the fallout between the longtime friends. Brittney conveyed a renewed sense of camaraderie, stating, “Today, current day, we’re in a really good place. We’ve had really healing conversations.” She emphasized that this revival of their friendship felt divinely orchestrated, crediting those feelings to a greater spiritual connection.
The hiking conversation proved to be crucial, as Brian and Tyler’s relationship had roots extending far beyond their music career, dating back to their childhood and joint worship experiences. “I think they just reconnected in a way that really only God can do,” Brittney remarked.

Following their hike, the Hubbards welcomed the Kelleys to their Idaho home, where they spent five transformative days together.
