Brandon Blackstock’s Oldest Son Seth Breaks Silence After His Father’s Death

Country music manager Brandon Blackstock’s oldest son, Seth Blackstock, has spoken out following his father’s death. In a heartfelt tribute shared just two days after the loss, Seth described his dad as his hero and best friend, offering an emotional look at their bond.

Brandon Blackstock’s Family and Children

Brandon Blackstock, known for managing top country artists and being Kelly Clarkson’s ex-husband, had four children in total. During his 11-year marriage to Clarkson, the couple welcomed two kids — River (2014) and Remington (2016).

Before marrying Clarkson, Blackstock was married to Melissa from 1999 to 2012. With her, he had two children: Seth and Savannah Blackstock. Over the years, Seth and Savannah occasionally appeared with their father at media events but largely kept their lives private.

Seth Blackstock’s Emotional Tribute

On Instagram, Seth shared six photos with his father, many taken at Brandon’s ranch in Montana. His tribute began with the words:

“I lost my hero. Words can’t describe how proud of you I am on raising me and your three other kids. You were a father, a son, a brother, and most importantly my best friend. You’ll have to watch me grow up from a bird’s-eye view now, but that’s okay with me.”

Seth went on to say there was no one else he’d want as a father:

“I’ll see you every day when the sun rises and falls. The deer and elk can rest easy now that the best hunter I’ve ever known laid down his rifle for the last time. I love you so much and can’t wait to throw a line in the water with you again. Be good or be good at it — love your son, Seth.”
