Post Malone’s major breakout into the country music scene began in May with his chart-topping duet, “I Had Some Help,” featuring country sensation Morgan Wallen. The track has held a spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart for eight weeks and counting and has remained on Billboard’s Country Airplay charts for five weeks, still going strong.
With such a powerful entrance into the country music world, Post Malone is just getting started. His debut country album, F1-Trillion, will be released in August and will feature collaborations with some of the biggest stars in country music.
Earlier this month, fans got an accidental sneak peek at the features of Post Malone’s upcoming album. This occurred when the retail franchise Target mistakenly published the tracklist on its website, although the listing has since been removed.
The album includes 18 tracks and features 14 different artists. While some collaborations were already known, such as his duet with Morgan Wallen, “Pour Me A Drink” with Blake Shelton, and his recent release with Luke Combs, the leak revealed several exciting new surprises.
Listeners will hear Post Malone team up with music legends like Dolly Parton, Hank Williams Jr., Brad Paisley, and more. In celebration of his debut country album, Brad Paisley took the opportunity to honor Malone’s upcoming release and asked him a life changing question.
On Wednesday, July 31, the Grand Ole Opry shared a video featuring Brad Paisley extending a very important invitation to Post Malone.
On their official Instagram page, the Grand Ole Opry shared a video of Brad Paisley asking Malone to join him on the Grand Ole Opry stage for his official Opry debut.
“What I’m about to ask is going to mean a lot to you, I think, knowing you and knowing the respect that you have for country music and this journey you’re embarking on now as a hillbilly singer…which is going to be massive and remarkable and amazing for both country music, and I think you,” Paisley said to the camera.
He continued, “Would you like to play the Opry? Come play it with me in August. Total invite, and it’s going to be the first of many appearances I have a feeling from you. Come experience what it’s like to play the show that started it all. You and I can jam together, and a lot of your friends will be there, and we’re going to have a blast.”
Post Malone is officially set to make his Grand Ole Opry debut on August 14, just two days before his album release. The evening will also include performances by other country superstars, such as Lainey Wilson, Vince Gill, John Michael Montgomery, and The War & Treaty, according to the Opry’s official website.
