Blake Shelton Sings His No. 1 Hit “Texas” At The 2025 ACM Awards
Country Music’s Biggest Stars Performed During The 60th Annual ACM Awards
The 2025 ACM Awards took place at the Ford Center in Frisco, Texas, on Thursday, May 8.
Although country music’s brightest stars went head-to-head in a range of categories, the show wasn’t just about the awards. Many fan-favorite artists also hit the stage with unforgettable performances.
One of the many singers who performed on the ACM stage was Blake Shelton, who sang one of his latest singles, “Texas.”
Shelton dropped his single “Texas” in November 2024, marking his first solo release in over two years.
The track introduced a fresh sound for the country star, and even includes a clever nod to country legend George Strait by referencing his classic “All My Ex’s Live In Texas.”
Even with the long break, Shelton managed to come back strong. “Texas” broke his personal record for most first-week radio adds, with 156 stations adding it to rotation. The success of the song didn’t stop there, though. It also became Shelton’s 30th number-one hit in his career.
Blake Shelton Is Gearing Up To Release His Brand New Album
Shelton’s ACM performance couldn’t have come at a better time, because it landed just one day before the release of his brand-new album.
In March, he announced that he’d be dropping his first album in four years. Titled Recreational Use Only, the collection includes 12 songs, along with a few tracks featuring special guest artists.
You can see the full tracklist for his new album below.

During Blake’s performance, he decided to go the simple route and let the music speak for itself. With his band playing behind him, he walked the stage as he belted out the lyrics. The ACM crowd was on their feet, singing along!
