Speaking candidly about the condition, Jackson explained how it had gradually become more noticeable during performances.

“It’s been affecting me for years. And it’s getting more and more obvious. And I know I’m stumbling around on stage. And now I’m having a little trouble balancing, even in front of the microphone, and so I just feel very uncomfortable.”

Now 67 years old, Jackson relied on a custom built support to help maintain his balance while performing during his final shows. Fans attending the farewell concert could see him leaning against the specially designed apparatus throughout portions of the performance.

Despite those physical challenges, Jackson remained committed to giving fans the memorable send off they deserved, delivering a performance that celebrated both his music and the loyal audience that supported him throughout his career.
