Thomas Rhett Promises His Kids Will Always Come Before Social Media and Career
Thomas Rhett Opens Up About Balancing Family Life and Career
Thomas Rhett is enjoying an unforgettable summer. Fresh off a massive sold-out show at Fenway Park on his Better In Boots Tour, the country superstar is thriving professionally. However, when it comes to balancing work and home life, he admits it’s still a challenge.
Juggling Career and Four Growing Daughters
The multi-platinum hitmaker revealed that finding balance has only become harder as his four daughters grow. With children aged 9, 8, 5, and 3 at home, Rhett says the demands are greater than ever.
“Obviously I’ve been blessed with an amazing family and the chance to play shows and make music,” he shared. “But as my kids get older, it’s more challenging to do as much as I used to.”
Social Media vs. Family Time
As an artist, Rhett is expected to make music and remain active on social media. Yet, with his girls getting older, he often feels pulled in two directions.
“I try to keep up on social media,” he explained. “But when I’m on there too much, I’m neglecting something else. My kids will always take priority.”
Rhett says his wife and daughters understand that music is his passion. Still, he focuses on balancing his time so that family comes first.
Intentional Planning for Quality Time
To maintain that balance, Rhett has become more intentional with his schedule. He now plans family time far in advance, making sure his children always know they are his top priority.
“I want them to know they were always chosen first—over career, over anything,” he said. “That’s the kind of dad I want to be remembered as.”
Family and Music Go Hand in Hand
Recently, Rhett shared a glimpse of his summer adventures with his family on social media. When schedules allow, they join him on tour, letting him combine the two things he loves most: family and music.
This weekend, Thomas Rhett returns to the stage with two Ohio shows: a headlining performance at Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati and a stadium show with Morgan Wallen in Cleveland. His Better In Boots Tour continues through the fall.
