Eric Church Pledges To Build 100 Homes For Hurricane Helene Victims In North Carolina

Victims Of Hurricane Helene Must Now Rebuild Their Lives

The rebuilding has just begun.

Hurricane Helene devastated the east coast of the United States, leaving thousands displaced and hundreds dead.

Country music stars have stepped up to support those in need. Morgan Wallen started a food drive, and Lainey Wilson just visited North Carolina, bringing much-needed supplies.

Luke Combs & Eric Church’s “Concert For Carolina”

One huge way that country music stars have helped is their recent concert, “Concert for Carolina.”

The concert featured some of country music’s most well-known names, including Keith Urban, Scotty McCreery, Chase Rice, and New Artist of the Year nominee Bailey Zimmerman.

The concert was a massive success. It raised $24 million for relief aid and was attended by over 82,000 people, the largest crowd in Bank of America stadium history.

Eric Church To Build 100 Homes

Eric Church is just getting started because the singer plans to build 100 homes for those who lost everything due to the hurricane. He announced this initiative during the “Concert for Carolina” as part of a new effort through his charity, the Chief Cares Foundation.

The initiative, titled “A Blueprint for the Blue Ridge,” first begins with the construction of 100 homes. After that, it will focus on addressing other community needs. According to his website:

“Our mission in North Carolina is to be here for the long haul. We are going to start by immediately building homes for 100 families in Avery County and the surrounding areas, and keeping these communities preserved and rebuilt. We’ve come up with a Blueprint for the Blue Ridge. We are also helping to address longer term needs like creating jobs, rebuilding schools, and supporting local businesses.”

Church expressed his commitment to restoring the community’s former glory and emphasized his determination to see this vision through to completion. Too often, the news cycle shifts focus, leaving communities with unmet needs. He also said:

“Often when disaster strikes, funds flow in from great people wanting to help, but when the world turns its eye to the next devastation, a lot can get lost and fall through the cracks. We are committed to the long-term rebuilding of these communities.”

If you want to support his plan, you can donate to his foundation on his website. Watch the ‘Concert for Carolina’ headliners and organizers speak about Helene’s impact and the concert below.
