Category 4 Hurricane Is Barreling For Coast Of Florida
Two short weeks after Hurricane Helene, another massive hurricane is heading for the east coast of the United States. Hurricane Milton is currently a Category 4 Hurricane and is projected to hit Florida as a Category 3 or 4. The Weather Channel stated:
“Hurricane Milton will make landfall in Florida tonight into early Thursday where it poses a major threat to life and property as it hammers the state with destructive storm surge, devastating wind damage, potentially catastrophic flooding rainfall and several tornadoes.”
The hurricane is projected to hit the coast of Florida today, Wednesday, October 9th, or early Thursday, October 10th.
According to recent news reports by 10 Tampa Bay, the storm has wind speeds of 155 miles per hour and is 250 miles off the coast of Tampa, Florida.

State of Florida Under Mass Evacuation Order
Florida safety officers called for mass evacuations and encouraged those considering staying behind to leave quickly.
In addition to the high winds, the projected storm surge could be as high as 15 feet in some areas. They are projecting heavy flooding similar to what was seen during Hurricane Helene.
The current evacuees are stuck in heavy traffic trying to escape the Hurricane’s path. Most of them are finding it difficult to get gas. It is projected that nearly 20% of gas stations are out of gas.
