Country Stars Celebrate At The 60th Annual ACM Awards
Several of country music’s brightest stars walked away from the 2025 ACM Awards with some new trophies, including the Album of the Year award winner.
The 60th annual ACM Awards were held on Thursday, May 8, at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. Country music legend Reba McEntire hosted the event.

The all-star lineup of performers included acts such as Blake Shelton, Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson, Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll, and McEntire.
The show also featured performances from New Male and New Female Artist winners Zach Top and Ella Langley. Langley entered the ceremony as the most-nominated artist this year, with eight nominations.
While all of the ACM Awards are significant, one of the most prestigious prizes is the award for Album of the Year. This award is bestowed upon an extraordinary album that made a profound impact during the ACM’s eligibility window.

The winner of the 2025 ACM Award for Album of the Year was finally revealed during the ceremony, which aired live on Prime Video.
After much anticipation, the winning album was revealed to be Whirlwind by Lainey Wilson!
It’s no wonder that Lainey Wilson’s Whirlwind won the ACM Award for Album of the Year. The album was one of the most popular records released in country music within the past year!
Whirlwind reached the third spot on the Top Country Albums chart and peaked at #8 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart. Additionally, the album produced the hit singles “Hang Tight Honey” and “4x4xU.”
This is Wilson’s second time winning Album of the Year at the ACM Awards, after previously winning for Bell Bottom Country in 2023. Congratulations to her!
