Wynonna Judd’s Daughter Says She’s 9 Months Sober, Gets Baptized In Same Church She Stole From

Grace Kelley, the 29-year-old daughter of country music star Wynonna Judd, says she’s finally turning her life around after years of addiction and arrests. In a candid interview, she revealed how hitting rock bottom inspired her to get sober and find faith.

Grace Kelley’s Legal Struggles Over the Years

Kelley’s legal troubles began back in 2015, when she faced a federal charge for manufacturing meth. Since then, she’s dealt with multiple arrests, including several in 2024.

  • April 2024: Kelley was arrested in Alabama on charges of indecent exposure and obstructing governmental operations.

  • Summer 2024: She faced three misdemeanor charges for fleeing or attempting to elude police, driving with a suspended license, and improper use of motorcycle equipment.

  • October 2024: She was accused of stealing a church van and trailer in Virginia.

Kelley admitted that the October arrest became her wake-up call. She recalled taking “bad drugs” that caused hallucinations before the incident, leading her to believe she was in a horror movie scenario.

Jail Time and a Turning Point

After taking a plea deal in December 2024, Kelley spent six weeks in jail. Ironically, the same church she stole the van from — the Charlottesville Ground Zero Church of the Nazarene — became a source of healing and support in her recovery.

Although her plea deal required her to stay away, Pastor Kent Hart and his wife, Megan, reached out after her release. They welcomed her into their congregation, giving Kelley the community and accountability she needed.

“If it wasn’t for Pastor Kent and Megan, I’d still be out there using,” Kelley admitted.

Nine Months Sober and a New Beginning

Today, Kelley proudly celebrates nine months of sobriety. She has become an active church member, even getting baptized as part of her new spiritual journey.

Reflecting on her transformation, she said:
“My entire life, I was searching for home. But ever since I came to Charlottesville and gave my life to God — oh, man, it’s just beautiful. I love it here.”

A Brighter Future Ahead

While Kelley’s past has been marked by struggles, her future now looks more hopeful. With faith, sobriety, and a supportive community, she’s determined to break free from the cycle of addiction and build a stable life.
