Wynonna Judd’s Daughter Alleges Family Cover-Up of Stepfather’s Abuse

Grace Kelley Breaks Her Silence

Wynonna Judd’s daughter, Grace Kelley, has made serious allegations involving childhood abuse, betrayal, and claims that her famous mother failed to protect her. In a recent interview with The Daily Progress, the 29-year-old revealed painful memories that she says shaped the course of her life and continue to haunt her today.

Allegations Against Former Stepfather D.R. Roach

Kelley alleges that her former stepfather, D.R. Roach, sexually abused her when she was just 10 years old. She claims the truth surfaced during family counseling, long before Judd filed for divorce.

“When they determined in counseling what he had done to me, they said, ‘We’re going to report this to law enforcement,’” Kelley recalled.

Roach was later arrested in September 2007 on charges of sexual battery of a minor. Soon after, Judd filed for divorce. Roach eventually pleaded guilty to criminal attempt to commit aggravated sexual battery and remains listed on the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry.

Accusations Toward Wynonna Judd

While Judd took legal action after the arrest, Kelley alleges her mother put her public image above her role as a parent.

“I don’t want to talk bad about my mom, but we’ll just say she’s a good performer,” Kelley said. “She was never a mother.”

These words highlight the emotional distance that, according to Kelley, still lingers within the family.

Grace Kelley’s Life Today

In recent years, Kelley faced a series of legal troubles, including multiple arrests in 2024 and a six-week jail sentence. However, she now says she is sober, has embraced faith, and is working on rebuilding her life in Charlottesville, Virginia.

At the same time, Wynonna Judd is raising Kelley’s 3-year-old daughter, Kaliyah, while continuing her music career and family life with her husband, drummer Cactus Moser.

Wynonna Judd’s Response and the Unanswered Questions

Wynonna Judd previously spoke about Roach’s arrest in a 2010 interview with Oprah Winfrey, saying she went into “mama bear mode” to protect her children. Yet Kelley’s recent allegations raise new questions about the past and whether unresolved pain remains between mother and daughter.
