Carrie Underwood and her husband, former NHL all-star Mike Fisher, open up about their marriage and more in the first episode of God & Country, but this is no ordinary celebrity exposé.
Filmed as part of a faith-exploring video series for the non-profit I Am Second, the soul-baring clip is meant to answer one big question: “In all the ups and downs of life and relationships, how do you find solid ground?”
In the seven minute opening clip, viewers will get a glimpse of the couple’s relatable quirks. They’ll admit what time they wake up, what words they still can’t spell and the places where they differ — but also share some of their deepest truths. Along with their respective reactions to meeting each other for the first time, the couple also reveal what they expected from family life and think back to one of their happiest memories: the unforgettable moment they met their first child, a son named Isaiah.
More episodes are set to roll out after this one, with a new clip launching each of the next three Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET. Learn more about Fisher’s story and involvement with I Am Second in the his White Chair episode.
