Video Captures Carrie Underwood And Ivanka Trump Having a Moment During Inaugural Lunch
Country star Carrie Underwood was spotted chatting with President Trump’s daughter, Ivanka.
Shortly after the official inauguration ceremony on January 20, where Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States, the traditional inaugural luncheon was held at Statuary Hall in the U.S. Capitol.
Of course, the event was filled with government officials, special guests, and close friends and family. Among them was Carrie Underwood, who was seen talking with President Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump.
In a clip shared by CBS News, the two ladies are chatting in a group before Ivanka turns her full attention to Carrie. Both were all smiles throughout the conversation.
Although it’s unclear what they were saying during their brief interaction, Ivanka was likely praising Carrie Underwood for her performance of “America The Beautiful” during Trump’s inauguration.
Carrie Underwood’s “America The Beautiful” Performance
A week before Inauguration Day, it was announced that Carrie Underwood would perform the patriotic track. However, a few issues took place before she could begin.
Originally, she was set to sing after Vice President JD Vance’s swearing-in and before President Trump’s, but her performance was moved to the end of the ceremony. The reason for this change hasn’t been revealed, but many schedule adjustments were made leading up to the event, particularly because of weather and other factors.
But, one of the most unexpected moments of the day occurred just as Underwood was about to start singing.
