Ed Kelce told News 5 Cleveland that his son popped the question in Lee’s Summit, Missouri about two weeks ago. The photos Swift shared on Instagram showed Kelce down on one knee in a flower-filled garden.
“Travis actually did the proposal, oh, maybe two weeks, not quite two weeks ago,” Ed Kelce explained. “He was going to put it off until this week to make some grand thing. I told him, you could do it anywhere — when you get down on one knee and ask her to marry you, that’s the special moment.”
The Garden Proposal in Missouri
Kelce planned a romantic garden proposal before a dinner date. Ed Kelce said Travis invited Taylor to have a glass of wine outdoors. That’s when he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.
After Swift said yes, the couple immediately FaceTimed their families. “They started FaceTiming me, their mother, and her folks to make sure everybody knew. To see them together is great,” Ed Kelce said.
He revealed that he was at Philadelphia Eagles practice when he got the emotional call.
