Trace Adkins Is One Of Country Music’s Most Patriotic Artists

Trace Adkins loves America, and it shows, especially when he sings songs such as “My Country, ‘Tis of Thee.”

Fans don’t have to dig too deep into Adkins’ catalog to find songs that honor America and its military. From “Arlington” to “Still a Soldier,” Adkins expresses his patriotism in many of his songs.

Adkins also devotes his time to those who serve or have served in the military. He’s been on several USO Tours and has been an outspoken supporter of veterans and active-duty servicemembers.

Because of his love for America, Adkins is a go-to entertainer for any patriotic holiday or date set aside to honor and remember members of the U.S. military.

Adkins has often performed on PBS’ National Memorial Day Concert. In 2020, he contributed to the annual program by singing “Still a Soldier” and “If the Sun Comes Up.”

PBS also asked Adkins to participate in its A Capitol Fourth special for the 4th of July that same year. A Capitol Fourth celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2020, so Adkins was involved in a historic production.

Adkins previously appeared on the program in 2017 and sang “My Country, ‘Tis of Thee.” Fireworks lit up the night sky surrounding the Capitol Building and the Washington Monument while Adkins delivered his soaring performance.

Adkins revisited the beloved song when he performed on A Capitol Fourth in 2020. A split screen showed him singing while fireworks once again lit up the night sky in Washington, D.C.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Adkins couldn’t sing in front of a live audience in 2020. His performance was pretaped, and based on what he was wearing, it may have been filmed when he recorded his songs for the National Memorial Day Concert.

Still, that didn’t keep Adkins from delivering an unforgettable performance that fans still revisit years later.
