Toby Keith‘s daughter, Krystal, is paying tribute to her beloved father on the first anniversary of his passing.

Toby left behind his beautiful wife of nearly 40 years, Tricia, their three children, Shelley, Krystal, and Stelen, and several grandchildren.
Krystal said she felt “shattered” in the first post she made on social media after Toby’s death. Remembering him as a great husband, dad, and “Pop Pop,” she wrote:
“I will forever honor him. The pain is so unbelievably deep and it feels like I have a literal broken heart but I know that it wouldn’t hurt so bad if we didn’t love him and get to be loved so deeply by him. He never made me wonder if he would be there for me. He made sure to live with Jesus so he could go with Jesus. Jesus taking him home is the cherry on top of the life we got to live with him.“

Krystal has remained true to her word. She and her siblings have honored Toby with appearances at several awards shows and events. Krystal, who’s also a singer, performed his song “Don’t Let the Old Man In” at the American Icon tribute concert held in Nashville in the Summer of 2024.
Perhaps most importantly, Krystal and her siblings are stepping up at their dad’s charity, the Toby Keith Foundation. The Foundation backs Toby’s OK Kids Korral, a cost-free place for children with medical needs (and their families) to stay while the children receive treatment in Oklahoma.
After Toby’s death, the annual Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic raised $3.1 million to benefit the OK Kids Korral.
Krystal Keith Remembers Her Dad In Emotional Tribute On One-Year Anniversary Of His Passing
Toby’s youngest daughter, Krystal, shared an emotional tribute to her dad on the first anniversary of his death. She shared a series of candid photos of them and their family through the years. Her slideshow started with a picture of them dancing at her wedding.
Krystal wrote:
“It feels like yesterday we said goodbye and yet it somehow has also been the longest year without him. I can’t help but find gratitude in all the time we had because we did all of life as a family unit. It’s hard to find a candid picture where he doesn’t have one of our babies in his arms. He was their favorite, and they were his. Our littles miss their buddy big time but we all know we will see him again someday. Until then, he will watch over us and walk beside us. Every sunset (and he LOOOOVED his sunsets) is a reminder that he wants us to live our best life and do good in the world. So that’s exactly is what we will do.”

Toby’s team also shared a tribute on his official social media pages. They said:
“We can’t believe it’s been a year since the world lost Toby. We have a hole in our heart and our lives. The love and support from the community that Toby created has left us all thankful and grateful. It has and continues to honor Toby. We know he would be proud of the legacy he left behind. Today we hope you will celebrate and listen to his music with us, where we know he is smiling down and raising his cup. A toast to a life well lived.”
