Toby Keith To Release Two Posthumous Albums

Toby Keith will be releasing two albums in October 2024,  just eight months after he passed away from stomach cancer.

On October 4, the late Toby Keith will be releasing not one but two albums. They will be “newly remastered and collected versions” of pre-released songs.

The first album, 13 Number Ones, will feature 13 of his most popular number-one hits, from “Should’ve Been A Cowboy” to “I Love This Bar” to “Whiskey Girl.”

Toby Keith new album "13 Number Ones"

13 Number Ones is a brand-new compilation album featuring “some of his most iconic songs released between 1995-2005.” Every track on this album was a staple at Keith’s live shows, and nearly all were performed at Toby Keith: American Icon, a tribute concert for the late legend.

Toby Keith: American Icon was filmed on July 29 in front of a live audience at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. It will air on NBC on Wednesday, August 28 at 9pm ET/PT. The special featured performances from his daughter Krystal Keith, Carrie Underwood, Jelly Roll, Trace Adkins, Luke Bryan, Tyler Hubbard, Parker McCollum, Darius Rucker, Lainey Wilson, Jamey Johnson, and more.

Toby Keith's album Christmas to Christmas

Keith originally released Christmas to Christmas in 1995 and he was praised for not including traditional Christmas songs, instead writing four new ones himself, and covering lesser known holiday tunes. This new release of Christmas to Christmas will be “remastered for all formats,” including vinyl for the first time. The vinyl for this album will be a transparent green color.

The vinyl will include a bonus track of Keith’s cover of Roger Miller’s “Old Toy Trains.”
