Richard Goodall Sings With Members Of Journey During “AGT” Results Show
Before finding out his fate on American’s Got Talent, Richard Goodall took the stage one more time to perform.
His final moment singing on the America’s Got Talent stage was a full-circle moment. When we first met Goodall, he performed “Don’t Stop Believin’.” by the iconic rock band Journey.
On Tuesday night (September 24), Goodall took the stage during the results show with Journey co-founder and lead guitarist Neal Schon and other members of Journey to perform the song that made him a household name…”Don’t Stop Believin’.”
This marks the third time we have seen Goodall perform a Journey song.
Goodall stunned the judges, the audience, and the viewers at home with his incredible rendition of Journey’s iconic song “Don’t Stop Believin’.”
Following the audition, Simon Cowell told him, “That was special, genuinely special. I think America is going to love you.”
Sofía Vergara continued, “That was spectacular, that was fun. This was an amazing surprise. I think you are perfect to come to AGT because you made our night.”
Howie Mandel added, “Maybe it’s because you’ve been doing it for 23 years, but you just cleaned up! I would imagine that every kid who’s ever been in a school with you is just screaming.”
Heidi Klum took her feedback to the next level when she pressed the Golden Buzzer for him, catapulting him past the next round of auditions and straight to the live shows.
For the next rounds he sang “How Am I Supposed To Live Without You” by Michael Bolton and “Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor.
For his finale performance, he went back to a Journey song, “Faithfully,” which was the perfect choice for his voice.
Following his finale performance, judge Howie Mandell predicted Goodall would win.
“I’m going to make a prediction right now,” Howie said. “I think you just sang yourself one million dollars.”
The prediction had Goodall break down in tears. A school janitor for 23 years, Goodall is about as humble as they come. If he wins the million dollar prize, he says he will move to Florida with his new wife, Angie.
He and his longtime love got married just hours after his finale performance on America’s Got Talent.
