Reba Sets Personal Record Thanks To “Trailblazer” Collab With Miranda Lambert & Lainey Wilson
Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert, And Lainey Wilson Premiered A New Song At The 60th ACM Awards
Reba McEntire has broken a career record thanks to a new song she recorded with two friends.
Miranda Lambert and Lainey Wilson joined Brandy Clark to write a song about the extraordinary women of country music’s past and present. The track celebrates those who’ve given them “a seat at the table,” such as Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, and Tammy Wynette.
But beyond that, the song is about the friendships formed between the generations of powerful women in the country music community. With such a message, it’s no surprise that Miranda and Lainey cried when they wrote the track.
They sent it to one of their greatest role models, Reba McEntire, who also cried when she listened to it for the first time. She told Billboard:
“I remember listening to it in the dressing room. I couldn’t find a flaw in it, not a word. It was that great. I was very emotional when I heard it.”
The trio delivered the premiere performance of “Trailblazer” at the 2025 ACM Awards on May 18. Their heartwarming performance struck a chord with viewers, who deemed it the highlight of the ceremony.
Reba shared the video of their ACM collaboration on her official YouTube channel. As of press time, that video has well over 780,000 views and more than 600 comments.
“Trailblazer” Helps Reba McEntire Break A Career Record
Reba, Miranda, and Lainey released a studio recording of “Trailblazer” after the ACM Awards. Based on the data, it’s safe to say that the recording made a notable impact.
According to an article from American Songwriter, “Trailblazer” earned 882,000 streams per day in the first three days after its release. Additionally, the track generated 2.6 million on-demand streams in its first week of availability alone.
As a result, “Trailblazer” helped Reba break a personal record, leading to the largest streaming debut of her entire career.
While her music career continues to flourish, Reba also has many exciting things in store in the TV world. For starters, NBC renewed her new sitcom, Happy’s Place, for a second season.
In addition, Reba recently confirmed her plans to return to The Voice to serve as a coach during the show’s 28th season. Reba previously coached Seasons 24-26 and won Season 25. The Voice‘s 28th season is expected to start sometime this fall.
