On Thursday, Reba McEntire took to Instagram to grace fans with a dazzling photo taken straight out of the 1980s. Her inspiration? A guest appearance on CBS’ “Young Sheldon.”

Reba appears on “Young Sheldon”
In the episode, young Sheldon in college is forced to do a group project with reluctant fellow students. We’ve all been in similar positions when it comes to group work.
McEntire’s character June is the ex-wife to Meemaw’s new boyfriend, Dale. On the show, she also gets a love interest in Wallace Shawn, who plays Dr. John Sturgis.

The show, which is set in the 80s, prompted young McEntire to share a photo from her 80s days. In the picture, the “Fancy” singer stands with five other women.
Throwback to old “Galentine’s Day”
All of them are wearing very dazzling outfits — except for McEntire, who’s donned in a solid royal blue suit with shiny cowboy boots. It’s hard to not catch what decade the picture is from.
McEntire listed the names of her old friends in the caption. “…Debby Boone, Tammy Wynette, Donna Fargo, Sylvia, and Janie Fricke!” she wrote. The singer also hashtagged “Galentines Day.”
The new term was created recently for ladies who have decided to spend Valentine’s Day with their girlfriends instead of their male partners or friends.
Reba’s new album and tour
McEntire’s flashback follows a nod she received for her latest album “Stronger Than The Truth,” last month. It was nominated for Best Country Album at the Grammy Awards.
The “Does He Love You” singer has certainly not lost any of her God-given talents since the 80s. She still acts, produces, and delivers strong vocals for her loyal fans.
Additionally, she’s going on a national tour next month, which will run throughout the year until mid-December. Retirement is certainly not in sight for the country legend.
And don’t forget to share this story with your family and friends.
