Raelynn Asks For Prayers After Family Member Suffers A “Massive Stroke”

Country singer Raelynn has taken to her Instagram stories to ask her 723,000 followers to pray for her family.

Raelynn, 30, rose to fame after she appeared on The Voice during Season Two. She auditioned with “Hell on Heels” by the Pistol Annies, which is fronted by Miranda Lambert, coach Blake Shelton’s wife at the time. Adam Levine and Blake Shelton both turned for her, but she ultimately landed on Team Blake.

Her time on The Voice continued with covers of “Free Fallin’,” “Wake Up Call,” “She’s Country,” and “If I Die Young.” She was eliminated in the quarterfinals, but she has made the most of her time on television and turned it into a 12-year career. She has three studio albums, one compilation album, two EPs, and a total of 11 singles to her name. Her biggest-selling single is her 2014 song “God Made Girls,” which is certified Platinum by RIAA.

She is currently opening for Kane Brown on his In The Air Tour.

While she had a few days off from being on the road, one of her family members suffered a stroke.

Raelynn, whose real name is Racheal Lynn Woodward, shared the news on her Instagram Story and although she didn’t say who, it’s clear this person means a lot to her.

The “God Made Girls” singer even asked her followers to pray for her family member.

“I believe in the power of prayer,” she wrote. “Someone in my family has had a massive stroke and we are believing for a miracle.”

The singer continued, “We serve an amazing God. Please pray with me for a turn around these next few days.”
