Malone officially released “Pour Me A Drink” on Friday, June 21. After a whole weekend of jamming out to the song, fans now get the chance to watch the fun music video for it!
Directed by Chris Villa, the music video starts with Malone purchasing malt liquor from a convenience store. As he brings it up to the counter, we’re introduced to the cashier and store owner. Who could it be besides the one and only Blake Shelton?
After sliding Malone’s money back to him, Shelton points over to a “Bud Light portal” that leads to a lively party filled with people dancing and having a good time, drinking out of colorful solo cups. On the other side, Blake Shelton, with a drink in hand, is ushering Post Malone to come join him.
Malone happily agrees and steps into what looks like the most fun tailgate party of all time!
The duo are clearly having the time of their lives as they sing the chorus:
“Somebody pour me a drink /
Somebody bum me a smoke /
I’m ’bout to get on a buzz /
I’m ’bout to get on a roll.I’ve been breaking my back /
Just keepin’ up with the Joneses /
Y’all know what I mean /
Y’all know how it goes. When it’s up on a Friday and I’m paid, slide one over my way /
I can’t even think when I can hear one callin’ my name /Somebody pour me a drink.”
Then, after partying it up and having a few drinks, the video cuts back to Malone and Shelton at the convenience store. Shelton snaps in Malone’s face to wake him up. Sadly, it looks like the greatest party of all time was just a dream.
But it seems like Country Post Malone won’t be slowing down anytime soon.
