Ohio State Football Players Host On-Campus Faith Event Promoting God, Hand Out Thousands Of Bibles
Earlier this week, Ohio State football players organized a faith-based event on campus.
The event was brought to life when Ohio State football players, including senior running back TreVeyon Henderson, former wide receiver Kamryn Babb, and others, partnered with local Christian churches and organizations.
Originally reported by the student newspaper, The Lantern, over 1,000 people gathered to watch and participate, with at least 60 attendees being baptized by the end of the night.
Throughout the evening, multiple of the team’s players shared their own words of reason as the crowd continued to grow.
“I just encourage you to step out in faith,” Babb said on stage. “Whatever you’re going through in life — whatever you’ve been through — I’m telling you there’s a God that desires you. So as we get into this worship, as we get into everything, we pray that you would see Him as He sees you. So as we get into this night, let’s give Him the glory.”

According to Grayce Banks, a member of an on-campus Christian ministry who was in attendance, the players organized the event to express their faith before graduating, viewing it as a significant part of their senior year. Their goal was to spread the word of God and spark a revival.
“You know, these football players, these are role models to so many people,” Banks said in a statement. “And so, to have them speak out in faith, they’re like ‘I know these people, like I see them on TV, and like, here’s the impact they have on my life. Who’s impacting their life?’ And that’s God to them, and that’s Jesus and that’s the Gospel.”
Not only did the event provide an opportunity for the community to come together to worship, share testimonies, and participate in baptisms, but the football team also brought 10,000 Bibles to distribute throughout the evening.
