North Carolina Native Luke Combs Shares Plans To Help Those Affected By Hurricane Helene

Hurricane Helene Causes Devastation & Destruction Across Multiple U.S. States

North Carolina native and country music superstar Luke Combs is stepping up to help his home state as they recover from the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.

Helene was classified as a Category 4 storm when it made landfall on Florida’s Gulf Coast on Thursday (September 26). The storm traveled a nearly 800-mile path as it moved through multiple U.S. states, including the Carolinas.

According to an October 1 report from USA Today, over 100 deaths have been attributed to Helene so far. Over two million homes and businesses are still without electricity.

North Carolina was hit hard by the storm. Excessive rainfall has left residents trapped in their homes without electricity, food, or necessary supplies. Flooding over the roadways has made it challenging for rescue workers to reach those in need.
