Nicole Kidman Makes Special Appearance at “Concert For Carolina” to Wish Keith Urban a Happy Birthday
Luke Combs, Eric Church and Others Gather Together for Concert For Carolina
Over the weekend, the country music community came together at the Concert For Carolina benefit to raise money for people affected by Hurricane Helene. Set up by Luke Combs and Eric Church, the event featured performances from them, along with many other stars like Scotty McCreery, Sheryl Crow, James Taylor, and more.
Keith Urban was also a special guest at Saturday’s charity concert. His birthday happened to fall on the same day, and he spent turning 57 years old by helping raise funds for those in need.
The Concert For Carolina turned into a five-hour event, with nearly 82,000 people attending at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. By the end of the night, the benefit had raised about $24.5 million.
Profits from ticket sales will be shared among several organizations, including Samaritan’s Purse, Manna Food Bank, Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest, and Eblen Charities.
Nicole Kidman Wishes Husband Keith Urban Happy Birthday
During the show, Keith Urban and his wife, Nicole Kidman, took the stage together to introduce Eric Church before his performance. While there, Kidman couldn’t help but gush to the crowd about her husband’s kindness in participating in the charity event on his birthday.
“[We’re] here with all of you tonight because of Eric giving Keith a call,” Kidman said. “I do want to say it’s his birthday tonight…And he wanted to be here with you. So here we go. Eric Church called him and here we are.”
After Kidman’s sweet recognition of her husband, Church came on stage and led the audience in a group singalong of “Happy Birthday to You” for Urban.
