Morgan Wallen Tells Fan She Is On His Bible Study Prayer List Ahead Of Her Brain Surgery
The Country Artist Called A Fan To Express His Support For Her
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”
– Psalm 23:4
A Morgan Wallen fan who has been going through a “rough spell” recently got a special FaceTime call from the country artist.
While the fan’s name was not disclosed, her mother, named Sandy Olson, shared a video to TikTok of her daughter receiving the unexpected call from Morgan.
Is this real? Are you real?” she asked.
Morgan replied, “It’s the real me.”
Earlier in October, Sandy posted the video of her daughter receiving a call from Morgan Wallen.
In the caption, Sandy detailed that her daughter is about to go through brain surgery to address a cavernous malformation.
When the call came through, Sandy’s daughter had no idea what to expect, with the video call beginning with a friend of Morgan, named Matt, speaking.
“I got a buddy, and he heard your story,” said Matt before turning the phone to reveal Morgan.
Morgan can be heard saying, “What’s up?” as Sandy’s daughter puts her hand to her mouth in joyful shock. Continuing, he asked, “How are you?”
Sandy replied, “I’m doing a lot better now. Sorry, I’m a little in shock.”
While we don’t hear their whole conversation, Sandy’s caption fills in a lot of the blanks, which reads, “When Morgan Wallen takes time out of his day to tell your daughter he is adding you to his bible study prayer list because he hears you are having brain surgery.”
She added the hashtag: “fanforlife.”
Morgan is the son of a minister, and he prominently describes himself as a “believer” on his bio on social media, even noting elsewhere that allusions to the Bible are something he enjoys mixing into his songs.

On the subject of Morgan Wallen being part of a Bible study, Morgan has frequently sung about the Bible or made Christian allusions in the lyrics to his songs.
One song that is particularly poignant is ” I Wrote The Book,” in which Morgan sings:
“Yeah, the good Lord knows I need it. I didn’t write it but I probably oughta read it. The one that lays by the lamp on the nightstand, one that says don’t cuss and don’t fight, or let the bottle turn you into a different man, but, damn, if I don’t do it every Friday night. Those get you into Heaven letters in red ain’t gettin’ read enough to keep me on a straight line. I’m a jack of all trades, but man I gotta say, that’s one book I didn’t write.”

This summer, Morgan and his co-writers on the song “I Got Better,” from his 2025 triple-album I’m The Problem, spoke to Billboard about how the song started as a result of a sprawling conversation about the account in Genesis of Noah’s Flood.
