Miranda Lambert’s wife Brendan McLoughlin leaves NYPD

MIRANDA LAMBERT

Miranda Lambert’s husband, Brendan McLoughlin, retired as a police officer in New York and now works as her guardian.

“His current working status is retired,” a CPO spokesman for the New York Police Department said in a statement.

The representative confirmed that in July 2019 he had taken “allowed time off”.

McLoughlin was spotted many times at Lambert’s concerts in what looked like official security capacity, sometimes putting on the handset and looking at the crowd near the stage.

Fox News reported that McLoughlin is now working as a member of the country singer’s security team, with one source reporting that he was watching fans and checked their bags at Lambert’s meeting and greeting before her Tulsa, Oklahoma, concert on February 7. Other security members said fans that they were not allowed to take pictures with a former NYPD officer.

A second source told Fox News that Lambert’s husband also worked safely at her Dallas concert at the American Airlines Center, and it was heard that fans were asking if they had anything that his wife would want to sign an autograph. He overheard one fan to get a country star to sign her shoes.

The couple first met at Good Morning America in New York, where they worked on the crowd patrol while performing with their band Pistol Annies.

Lambert and McLoughlin celebrated their first wedding anniversary at the end of January and shared a photo of their wedding in 2019 showing couples holding hands through Instagram and writing, “I’m so glad to have this life with you . Thank you, Brendan, for making me the richest wife and stepmother. You are the reason for all my new smile lines. I love you. #MrsMcLoughlin. “
