Miranda Lambert Forced To Reschedule Two Straight Shows

MIRANDA LAMBERT

Miranda Lambert was forced to reschedule two consecutive shows when an illness prevented her from taking the stage as originally planned. Lambert’s Wildcard Tour was set to visit Salt Lake City and Denver over the weekend but will now be delayed by a few weeks.

Citing a loss of voice, the singer shared the unfortunate news with fans on social media.

“Dear Salt Lake City, I am so sorry to announce that I am having to reschedule the show tonight. I’ve been doing everything in my power to be 100% but my voice is just not there. Not even close,” she wrote ahead of the January 31 show. “I am so sorry to let everyone down. Since I’m not well, we thought it would be better to come back and give y’all the best show we can.”

The Grammy winner noted the following day that her condition had not improved and would affect Denver’s original tour date as well.

“I spent the last 24 hours on the bus trying to get as well as I could. No talking. All the tea in the world. Sleep. Meds. I’m feeling a lot better but unfortunately my voice is just not back yet and there’s nothing else I can do but wait,” her post said. “I can’t apologize enough for the inconvenience. I love playing Denver and promise to bring the best show we can when we come back.”

Make-up dates are now set for February 25 in Salt Lake City and March 2 in Denver.

The singer has been a regular on the road for the past few months. She headlined another edition of her Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars Tour in the fall in preparation of the release of her latest album Wildcard and launched her current outing in January. It will run through early May and features support from Cody Johnson, Lanco, the Randy Rogers Band and Parker McCollum.
