Luke Bryan Calls Out Crowd Misbehavior, Says It Shows Society’s Moral Decline
Luke Bryan Speaks Out on Fans Throwing Objects at Performers
Country music star Luke Bryan is speaking up about the growing trend of fans throwing objects at performers during concerts.
The 49-year-old singer, best known for hits like “Country Girl (Shake It For Me)”, recently experienced it firsthand when a small ball hit him in the face mid-performance. The incident, caught on TikTok, shows Bryan flinching before laughing it off and continuing the show.
In a candid interview on The Bobby Bones Show, Bryan addressed the behavior, calling it “entitlement” and saying,
“People throw things at artists and they’re idiots. It’s the deterioration of the moral fabric of how your a** ought to act.”
He explained that while this time it was a harmless beach ball, he’s also had expensive items — including cell phones worth over $1,000 — thrown at him in the past.

Not Just Luke Bryan — Other Country Stars Targeted
Luke Bryan isn’t alone. In recent years, more artists have faced similar situations:
-
Kelsea Ballerini was struck in the eye by a bracelet in June 2023, briefly leaving the stage before returning to urge fans not to throw items.
-
Morgan Wallen had drinks and even a phone thrown at him during performances. In one case, he tossed the phone offstage before continuing his set.
Luke Bryan’s Health Struggles This Summer
Aside from these onstage hazards, Bryan also battled illness this summer. In June, he announced a pause on his tour to recover from COVID-19. Though still regaining his full voice, he’s returned to performing, determined to give fans the best show possible.
At a recent concert in Greenville, South Carolina, Bryan told the crowd:
“When I can sing, I’m gonna sing. And when I can’t, y’all are gonna sing.”
Later in Birmingham, Alabama, he joked about powering through with tequila, vodka, and sheer determination.
Respect the Stage
With these incidents becoming more common, Bryan and other artists are reminding fans that while concerts are a place for fun and connection, safety and respect should always come first.
