Two standout artists seized the moment to unveil fresh tunes to their fans and peers. Reba McEntire graced the stage with her latest single, ‘I Can’t,’ recently introduced on The Voice. Additionally, four-time nominee Jelly Roll debuted an unreleased track, adding to the evening’s excitement.”

Jelly Roll’s 2023 ACM performance of “Save Me” with Lainey Wilson earned high praise and catapulted the song to the top of the charts. As a result, the duo earned a nomination for Music Event of the Year at this year’s ceremony.

Jelly Roll’s desire to “kick off a new era” of music at the ACM Awards

In an interview with CountryNow prior to the awards show, Jelly Roll recalled his last time on the ACM stage and shared:

“I don’t want to get emotional talking about this, but ‘Save Me,’ me and Lainey debuted it here last year. It went on to be a number one record. It’s a triple platinum, I mean, it’s huge. [It] changed my life in every way,” he shared. “It was a big part of the Whitsitt Chapel era of that album and then we kind of get to debut another new song here. So it’s cool. It feels like it’s turning into, I hope, a cycle. Maybe I debut a song every ACM.”

Jelly Roll added that he is eager to close the chapter of Whitsitt Chapel, his current album, and move forward to a new chapter, hinting that he has a lot of new music in store.

Following in what may become a tradition for the rapper-turned-country singer, Jelly Roll debuted a brand new song from the ACM stage. The song, presumed to be called “Liar,” had fans dancing along, bringing the ACM crowd to life.
